President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Oman, threatening a military response if the country interferes with Washington's ongoing diplomatic efforts with Tehran.

U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to strike Oman if the country’s authorities interfere with negotiations between Washington and Iran. According to Fox News journalist Trey Yingst, the issue arose over parallel talks between Iran and Oman regarding control of the Strait of Hormuz. In response, Trump stated: "If they get in the way, we will bomb the hell out of them."

Oman, which positions itself as a neutral party in the conflict, has been conducting its own talks with Tehran in recent weeks regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Despite reports of a mutual understanding regarding the transit route, Iran continues to insist on several conditions from the U.S., including compensation for military damages and the lifting of a naval blockade. According to Reuters, Tehran is also considering charging a transit fee of 5–7% of cargo value for vessels. Trump had previously issued similar threats toward Oman in May, demanding that the state "act like everyone else."

The situation is further complicated by the fact that the Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S. and Iran, signed on June 17, is set to expire on Monday. The document aimed to cease hostilities and reopen the strait, but the truce has been repeatedly violated, and the passage remains closed, keeping oil prices at approximately $89 per barrel. When asked by reporters about extending the memorandum, Donald Trump responded in the negative.

Furthermore, Trump claimed to have direct contact with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Representatives of the IRGC denied this assertion, labeling the president's claims as "lies" and "fantasies." Trump himself emphasized that he is not in a rush to reach a deal with Iran, noting that he has "no timeframe." On his Truth Social platform, the U.S. president also reaffirmed that Washington's primary goal remains preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
